IMPORTANT TIPS FOR YOUR WEDDING

The setting for the wedding reception is of prime importance. It can be in a lovely church where the wedding takes place, a beautiful garden covered with white tents, or at the beach.

>From intimate chapel setting to private villa to beach, ensuring that the couple´s personalities and lifestyles are brought together in the venue that suits their desires the best. That selection of personalized venues selection extends to transportation, catering choices, floral displays, entertainment and so much more at their disposal. Another option is a garden ceremony, where you’ll be surrounded by fragrant blooms, or rent a villa for you and all of your guests for an intimate affair.

Schedule a Test Drive

Remember, unlike a wedding in your hometown, guests are dependent on you once they reach the destination. Make sure you provide transportation to and from the airport, as well as to all the events of the weekend. Insist that bus drivers do a dry run of the route so they don't get lost between the ceremony and reception.

Be Gracious

A good way to make nice with the local vendors is to send handwritten thank-you notes and even little gifts when you book their services. (Remember that they can literally make or break your wedding, and a little goes a long way toward getting them on your side.) During the event itself, it's wise to have plenty of small bills on hand for palm-greasing, especially in foreign countries and resorts.
Plan a hair and makeup session with a salon, and organize activities (golf, tennis, walking tours, museums) for everyone.

Call On a Courier

Make a plan for wedding presents. If you've got a ton of wedding gifts to take home, ask if someone who lives in your city can take them back and keep them for you until after the honeymoon -- or even drop them at your home for you. Or, pack an extra duffle bag to bring them home yourselves. Figure this out before the wedding so you'll have a plan of action if you need it.

Entertainment
Classical Musical Options:

There are several different classical music trios and duos to provide classical music for your wedding. This is highly recommendable service, for a beach wedding. This is the best option if you wish to receive your guests formally. The musicians can play music for your processional, recessional and even incorporate music during the ceremony. They add a very nice touch to any post-ceremony cocktail reception. One to two hours is generally enough. They also should be provided with a list of the couple´s favorite music, and the most requested list by their guests as well, to include all of them in the song list request.

A Disc Jockey:

A highly recommended option if you want your wedding to be a party for your destination wedding reception, you should consider this option. The DJ is the only one capable of providing many different types of music from the beginning until the end of your wedding. Most DJ offers the following services: DJ Provides recorded music appropriate for each part of your wedding, such as the pre-ceremony welcome time, the processional, the post-wedding cocktail hour, dinner, first dance, party, etc. Also providing special lighting effects for the party such as are found at many popular dance clubs. If you also want to bring some of your own music on CDs, the DJ will play them for you and return them afterwards to you.

Wedding Receptions
Welcome Your Guests in Style

o     Decorate the wedding reception with crystal decorations, in a wedding gazebo on the beach, décor based on chairs with white covers, ceremonial and round tables for easy conversation and a red carpeted walkway, on the table arrangements and setting, the hors dóeuvres and champagne all overlooking the ocean. Even if you're having a small wedding party, you can still enjoy the look of a tall tiered beautifully decorated wedding cake. By having the bakers make several "fake" layers as a base for the real cake. They'll be frosted like the rest of the cake and no one will know the difference!
o     Also you can decorate the receiving area for your guests, at your wedding reception, as they enter with floral garlands, candle-lit lanterns, or other decorations. If they'll go from the wedding site to a reception site, provide welcoming decorations along the pathway.
o     Candles with Bags (Luminaries): These help to provide ambiance the wedding and look great!  The amount to purchase is anywhere from 100 to 200 of them. They should be placed at different areas around the reception area, giving a special touch to your wedding.
o     Tiki Torches: Tiki torches are great for decorating your wedding ceremony and reception site.
o     Chairs with white covers or white wooden chairs: Both are perfect for a wedding ceremony.
o     Fireworks: I think there is no need to describe the beauty of these services, expensive yes but the show is simply spectacular! There are packages ranges from 3 minutes ,5 minutes, 8 minutes, please look up the local vendors
o     Private Transportation: As you know, these services are quoted and suggested they respond to your individual and special needs such as transportation to and from the rehearsal dinner menu, welcome party, and airport to and from, group fishing trips, etc. Also it is highly appreciative if you rent a car and see the surrounding that Cabo has to offer.
o     Provide a printed schedule for your guests for the wedding ceremony and reception schedule. Include the time for the arrival of the bride and groom, cake cutting, special toasts to the bride and groom, picture taking, tossing of the bride's bouquet and garter, and the first dance for the couple.
o     Wedding Cake: You can order a very special cake, what is normally offered is four different kinds of cake: chocolate, strawberries, cheese and carrot. If you want to suggest a different flavor, they can also bake it for you. They can design your cake the way you want it, or make suggestions on it. As with floral arrangements, you can get ideas for your cake design from our album on-line or from bridal magazines. You can request a “cake & wine” tasting before your wedding, as well, so that you can decide the flavor that you want. For a wine tasting, they usually provide domestic wines and up to two bottles each of red and white wine at no cost to you.
o     Wedding Logistics: Most of the weddings keep a logical structure like the one described below, so be prepared for a schedule ahead of time if possible.
4:15 pm Guests to arrive;
4:50 Processional; 5:00 Wedding Ceremony; 5:30 Welcome Cocktail; 6:40 Wedding Reception dinner; 8:00 Toast; 8:20 First Dance; 8:30 Party; 9:30 Cake cutting; and 9:50 Fireworks display

Rehearsal of Ceremony:

Best places for the rehearsal dinner:

•     El Campanario Restaurant - Cabo San Lucas, Los Cabos Mexican seafood and grilled specialties, with spectacular views of the ocean, the arch and the sunset
•     Grand Baja Los Cabos
•     Pitahayas located at Sheraton Hacienda del Mar
•     Westin Regina Los Cabos El Set, a Westin restaurant located at the top of a steep hill overlooking the ocean. This time guests were ferried up via golf carts. It took a while to get all 72 guests to the top of the hill, but the ride was worth it – the restaurant and terrace held the most breathtaking view of the ocean and surrounding terrain, a vibrant red rock that reminded me of Sedona.
•     Edith’s Restaurant. Food and décor are Mexican style cuisine.
•     Mi Casa in Cabo San Lucas is a restaurant evoking old Cabo with its faux-faded interior murals depicting village street scenes, Mexican tile and ceramics and rooms with brilliant primary colors, tempered by cool greens from an abundance of tropical plants.
•     For fine wine and dine at Da Giorgio's Italian restaurant overlooking the cliffs for a spectacular Pacific sunset.

The following are local favorites for dining, welcome parties and rehearsal dinners:

•     Damiana (Mijares 8, San José del Cabo, 624-142-0499) is located in a candle-lit 18th-century hacienda. Dine on charbroiled lobster or tender chateaubriand and enjoy a cocktail made from the restaurant's namesake: damiana, a liqueur made from a native herb long believed to be an aphrodisiac.
•     Each month, the Oaxacan chefs at El Chilar Restaurant (Benito Juárez 1497, San José del Cabo, 624-142-2544) devise creative menus featuring chilies as their main ingredient. Selections include thinly-sliced flank steak marinated with a nutty cascabel chili sauce and shrimp in roasted garlic and guajillo chili sauce.
•     Family-run since 1958, Felix's Taqueria (Zapata and Hidalgo, Cabo San Lucas, 624-143-4290) specializes in fresh fish tacos accompanied by 19 different salsas prepared daily from scratch.
•     Mi Casa (Cabo San Lucas at Medero, Cabo San Lucas 624-143-1933) is festive with folkloric décor. The restaurant serves authentic regional Mexican fare, such as homemade tortilla soup, succulent pork carnitas and several types of mole, a rich sauce of blended onion, garlic, several varieties of chilies, ground seeds and chocolate.
•     Mi Cocina (Mijares 4, San José del Cabo, 624-142-5100) wins raves for its nouvelle Euro-Mexican cuisine served in a romantic torch-lit courtyard. You might start with a charred poblano chili stuffed with crispy lamb and Oaxacan cheese, enjoy an entrée of Provencal-style seafood risotto and then try a lemon meringue tart for dessert.
•     For a change of pace, try Nick-San Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar (Marina, Plaza de la Danza, Cabo San Lucas, 624-143-4484). Don't miss the sashimi cilantro: pan-seared sea bass sprinkled with green tea salt and served in a creamy cilantro sauce with a ribbon of spicy chili oil and sliced avocado.
